Don't type it.
Seriously.
A long time ago, someone built the 'home' command into the Tiny or Fuzzball or GlowMUCK server as a safeguard, a way to protect players on worlds with open building from pranksters who would intentionally trap them in an area. Even if someone blocked every other means of movement, they could not block the 'home' command, and the poor hapless explorer would always be able to return to their character object's home. However, because at the same time they wanted to acknowledge the command was for emergencies only, they set it up so it would also send everything in the character's inventory to its home; unless they were your own objects you were carrying, you'd lose them.
Now, this... doesn't exactly work for NarniaMUCK. We don't have open building, no areas will trap you, and we can't have people flying across the game back to their homespaces willy-nilly. It is bad for thematic coherency. We've done the only things we could to derail the home command, by having it send you to the On The Way Home holding room, but because it is built into the server as a command that is supposed to be absolutely immutable, there is no way to disable it entirely or prevent it from taking away all your stuff.
For a long time, the consequences of 'home' were fairly common knowledge, but there's been an influx of new players recently, and there isn't quite enough information about the command available. So.
If you type 'home', any things you are carrying will leave your inventory and return to their own homes.
So, to that end, please don't type the command! It is really difficult for staff to recover any of your stuff because nothing has unique identifiers. I myself am going to consider this forum post due warning and probably won't even attempt to recover your stuff if you lose it, especially if you have a forum account that could have read this.
