Learned a thing about your client of choice that might be helpful to others?

1) POST HERE
2) DETAIL DIRECTIONS
3) ?????
4) PROFIT

I use MUSHclient, always have, do love, it's mad flexible and can do all kinds of useful things LIKE FOR INSTANCE blocking out spammy strings that you really don't want to see all the time.

SO say for instance I don't want to ever see any rabbits picking up fieldmice and bopping them on their heads. Here's how I would block that out on MUSHclient:

    1. Go to the "Game" drop-down menu
    2. Go to "Configure"
    3. Go to "Triggers"
    4. Click "Add"
    5. In the "Trigger" field, put whatever you want to block out. In my example, I'd put "A rabbit picking up a field mouse and bopping it on its head." However, if these particular rabbits are SUPER RUDE and actually bop everything in sight on its head, I'm gonna need something less specific, so I'll just put "A rabbit *". The * in this case means anything can go here as long as "A rabbit " comes first.
    6. In the "Send" field, put %0
    7. Check the "Omit from Output" box on the right.
    8. In the "Send to" drop-down menu, select "Notepad (append)"
    9. that's all.

A word of warning here: if you use this method to block out preyspam, it will not discriminate between prey and, say, BillyJoeBob the Rabbit whom you haven't @recognized and who still shows up on your screen as "A rabbit with distinguished-looking whiskers". It will block out any string that starts with "A rabbit", even poses. So just be aware of that as you go on your merry, less-spammed way.

Does anyone know how to set triggers on the client, Trebuchet? Is it even possible on this client?

I had a look at the OS X version of Trebuchet just now and it looks like you need to know some kind of scripting language to set triggers? Which I don't, unfortunately. Sorry.

It's possible I'm wrong, but you might want to look at using a different client for triggers rather than waiting for someone who knows Trebuchet to come along (I don't think it's a very popular client for NarniaMUCK players).

Thanks for looking into it, BC. I was just wondering about it and curious if I could do it, it really isn't a big deal.
