For the 10th Anniversary, NarniaMUCK is having an Art Contest.

The rules are simple-- be family-friendly, and creative. You can use any medium you want: photography, painting, drawing, digital art, clay, paper mache, origami, henna, literally anything! (disclaimer: anything legal)

Some ideas for inspiration for your art:
Illustrate a favorite scene or RP that you've participated in or read about.
Design some Narnian/Archenlandian costumes (either with real cloth or on paper).
Illustrate a favorite scene from the books, especially Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, or Horse and His Boy.
Illustrate one of the rooms on NarniaMUCK.
Make your own NarniaMUCK map, either of the whole game, a country, or even a region or particular building.
Design some character sketches from some of your favorite characters.
Anything else you can think of!

Embedding art can be a little tricky, so I recommend posting it to a DeviantArt account of some kind of account like flickr or photobucket, and sharing the link here. If you can figure out embedding and you like the way it looks in the forum, that's great, too!

Contest closes Sunday July 10 at midnight PST, but we encourage you to keep sharing your art here after that!

Ooooo. If I crochet clothing, post the pic to deviantart and then leave the link here, would that be okay? *rubs her hooves together in honorable glee*

In that case...

I am submitting this red cowl as Archenlander/Narnian winter/autumn wear for Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve. Made of simply soft yarn, this autumn red cowl offers both a warm cover for the neck as well as stylish alternative to a hood or scarf. It is also not so close to the neck as to make the user uncomfortable, leaving a space of about and inch and a half between the neck of the cowl and the user's neck. It falls modestly just over the tip of the shoulder, but not so far as to hamper the day's archery or woodcutting. This cowl is skillfully hand-crafted with a crochet hook to allow breathability of the material as well as a uniform cross pattern for added style. Lastly, it is embroidered with a fiery yarn to provide contrast to the uniformity of the cowl.

I hope you enjoy it!

So...these are some portraits I drew of Evette. The first one was supposed to have been a practice, but I actually really liked how it turned out, so I posted both :) Plus I think that they both show different sides of her personality - the second is sort of how she perceives herself, and the first is a side of her that she doesn't see (her beautiful and graceful side).

But I digress. Enjoy!

I couldn't figure out how to put it here, so I've posted it to deviant for you instead.

This is Jana, Myrd, and son. It isn't a very strict representation of how they look . . . I'm bad at curly hair, but what I was really going for was a nice bit of family life/relations.

Because we are extending the poetry contest until midnight on the 15th, we are extending the art contest, too! Keep submitting!
