At the beginning of the Great River
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
You stand at the head of the Great River of Narnia, where it flows from the
Cauldron Pool and begins its southeastern journey toward the sea. Here,
the river is fairly shallow and small, and looks pretty easy to cross.
As it happens, you also stand at the edge of Lantern Waste, which lies to
the east. The trees crowd the riverbank more closely in that direction,
but the going doesn't appear to be that difficult. To the west, you can
see Cauldron Pool's clear waters twinkling in the sunshine, and hear the
roar of the waterfall as it crashes over the western cliffs.

Contents: A dwarf wearing a black, hooded cape and A son of adam with dark hair and sparkling green eyes (Kiyon).
Kiyon shifts his satchel up his shoulder a bit more as he walks near the head of the Great River. He glances around and stops to sit on a rock near the water, listening to it babble in its relaxing way.
A dwarf wearing a black, hooded cape walks towards the beginning of the river, eyes trained on the water.
Kiyon pulls off one of his boots and rubs at his ankle before slipping it back on and heaving a sigh. He turns to stare into the water, clearly lost in thought.
A dwarf wearing a black, hooded cape continues his way along the riverbank, clearly not seeing the Son of Adam as he makes no motion towards him. Slowing to a stop, he plops down along the rivers edge, scooping up some water and beginning to wash off his axe.
Aelius comes into clear view of all who are observing the water downstream. He is dashing through it and splashing all over.
Kiyon follows Aelius with his gaze and a smile plays at his lips. He slips off the rock and begins walking farther downstream for a better view.
A dwarf wearing a black, hooded cape hears the commotion, a frown instantly planting itself on his face as he returns to his axe.
Aelius doesn't notice Kiyon or the Dwarf and keeps playing and splashing around in the river's edge.
Kiyon leans down when he's close enough and scoops up some water to splash at Aelius, a playful grin on his face.
A dwarf wearing a black, hooded cape slowly gets up, grunting and without a second glance to the others, walks to Caldron pool.
Aelius spins around, surprised by Kiyon. He barks playfully and returns a splash with his front paw.
Kiyon chuckles as he covers his face instinctively, but he loses no time in retaliating. Leaving his satchel and axe by the waterside he wades in with a shiver.
Meepicheep glances out from the leaves of one of the top most branches of a nearby tree of the northern bank. He is surveying the landscape when he hears voices and looks down.
Aelius jumps wildly around splashing at Kiyon with his paws. He then pounces at him, in an attempt to knock him over into the water.
Kiyon takes a step back at the sudden motion and falls backward into the water with a gasp. He resurfaces a moment later, hair messed up and blinking as he readjusts to the light.
Aelius stands watching to see if Kiyon will get upset.
Meepicheep stares intently at the scene unfolding before him.
Kiyon laughs heartily as he flicks some hair out of his eyes. He returns the pounce at Aelius, trying to splash him while he's still.
Aelius jumps back at Kiyon's sudden move. He grins and jumps around trying to splash Kiyon from behind.
Meepicheep leans over the edge of the branch to get a better view while holding onto the trunk with one hand.
Kiyon ducks and takes a splash to the back of the head with a laugh. He spins, holding his arm out to send a small wave at Aelius.
Aelius spins around and runs farther away from Kiyon, avoiding most of the wave he only gets a splash in his mouth. He coughs and sputters a little before kicking his back paws in the water and sending loads of water in Kiyons direction.
Kiyon tenses and takes a breath as the cold water hits him. He chuckles and wades back to the shore. "You win, Aelius! I haven't a coat as fine as yours!"
Meepicheep watches as Kiyon moves closer to the tree that he is in.
Aelius smiles as he also moves back to the bank. Shaking out his fur, he sends droplets of water flying everywhere.
Kiyon tries not to show it, but he shivers once or twice as he gathers his belongings. "Though once it's a bit warmer, I challenge you to a rematch." He pulls some cloth out of his satchel to dry himself off.
Meepicheep descends swiftly and quietly lower down the tree but still out of view.
Aelius nods at Kiyon, "I'll take you up on it."
Kiyon grins at Aelius, "Good. Because this was fun. What brings you this way, Aelius? Besides a dip in the... rather cold river, that is."
Aelius says, "I was tracking someone, but the water looked so inviting and it is quite hot in the sun."
Kiyon gives a nod, "Well, that's a coincidence, I was tracking someone as well." He glances around the trees and frowns. "I didn't have much success, though."
Meepicheep jumps of the tree and disappears into the underbrush
Aelius asks, "Oh, what kind of tracks were you tracking?"
Kiyon looks to the west and says simply, "Dwarf, I'm fairly certain." He looks back to Aelius, shrugs, and rasies his brows.
Aelius nods, "Yes, I'm pretty sure it's the grumpy dwarf who never tells his name."
Kiyon shakes his head, "Perhaps I'll be able to talk with him sometime. I think we could have started off better."
Aelius says, "Yes, we definitely could have..."
Kiyon sighs, "I just hope I haven't made an enemy. I'm... not used to confrontation."
Aelius nods, "I should be going now. Have a good day Kiyon."
Kiyon smiles, "And you as well, friend. Don't forget now." He glances at the fox playfully. "We'll have a rematch."
Aelius grins and bounds off, upstream.
Kiyon walks upstream along the riverbank path.
