New Cair Paravel Map

Some of you may remember about a year ago we said we were going to update Cair Paravel. Some of the same crowd may have noticed that: has not yet happened.
Since there are a lot of people RPing in CP right now and the project turned out to be a much huger one than we expected, I'm just going to share the map we drew up so you can decide how much you want to pay attention to it. We're planning to do our best to not disrupt RP and yet to update for accuracy, practicality and future RPability. The map-sharing is meant to help with that. It might be subject to a bit of change, but it should be approximately accurate to the changes that will be made. You can decide with your RP-mates how you want to handle the discrepancies between the map and the rooms currently available to you. If you'd like advice or someone to talk through how to do that, please feel free to page me.

The main changes, you'll notice, are in more detailed quarters and work areas for castle non-nobility, plus the much-needed addition of the harbor, and a more accurate and obvious orchard. There are a few other small changes as well, for example, you'll notice the Pevensies' rooms now have the appropriate view of the ocean, and the nursery is no longer the size of an industrial kitchen. The library is now planned for a more sensible location, but should have the same general rectangular north-facing structure.

Thanks for your patience on this project. I hope the insight into the building process is an interesting one, and also I hope you like our plans!

harbour notwithstanding, the ocean still does not exist

Does the ocean have to exist though? I like the Ocean so I thought of ways that you could add boats and all. And the idea that I had, is that you just build the boats as rooms.

so a boat would be a handfull of rooms depending on size, and on one side you could leave to the Cair paravel harbour say west, and on the other you could exit to the terebinthian harbour, so you would just have a collection of a few boats, each wich would have different exits to various harbours and you would just rp the journey rp etc, and then you don't even need an ocean so to say? If that makes sense.

Also the map looks cool and all but why is the harbour in cair paravel, this would only be for royal vessels? (i don't think that it would be convenient for all the goods to have to travel through the garden and castle, just my ideas)

and i also thought it would make more sense to make the stable and cart thingy part of the outer wall? You could combine the yard and pasture then?


all in all im just sharing ideas afterall, but it looks cool. idk how practical my ideas are (they probably aren't)

There was also ideas about reworking anvard at least the barracks and all will that still happen?
