As with all other anniversary announcements, I will stress that this event is occurring in BERUNA on JULY 9. Plan accordingly.

Ahhh, you thought there wasn't any events for your skunk character didn't you? No indeed, we've thought of you, and here's how the competition will be occurring:

You will be given 15 minutes to fish as much and as fast as you can in the fishing event location, which will be clearly marked.
Perch are worth 4 points.
Trout are worth 4 points.
Catfish are worth 3 points.
Carp are worth 1 point.
The character with the most points, totalled by the moderator (Mr. Beaver!) wins!

There will be a fabulous prize for the winner (along with much fishing advice asked for by all his/her friends).

Further details, including the time of the event and any changes to the point system, will be posted here. Please reply here if you have any questions.

Will this event get an annual repeat next month?

I need to sharpen my harpoons ... I mean, talons. :>

I'm afraid this was a 10 year anniversary and there isn't another one planned for this year. However, I think the fauns are planning their annual summer festival soon (no an official event but it can become one if you all want to plan it more solidly than I think it is right now), and Beruna is supposed to always have a smaller version of an anniversary festival during this time of year-- just not an official day for one. It's also a great place to gather in summer because ICly a lot of folk would be heading there for the festival market. Instrument-makers (and players), sweet-cooks, fruit-sellers, ribboners, jewelers, and fletchers probably spend a lot of time there in the summer.

Of course, I've also seen a suspicious amount of Giants logging on lately, so partying may not be the only thing on the table for this summer's events...
