Then why are eagles defined in the game as Neutral, not Good aligned?

Mainly because those who are good aligned typically are magical creatures which bind them even closer to the side they are on. though you raise a good point. And I'm not saying there no hint of disloyalty, perhaps an eaglet ...

For something like an Eagle perhaps a good idea would be to head towards the marshes, fishing and selling the fish to Higgledrum is a good way of making coins. And eagles have those pesky wing things
