The long days of August may be lacking when it comes to TV (other than reruns), and the beaches and Disneyland are packed, but your roleplays this month have been positively sizzling with excitement. Here are our staff picks for this month's featured RP.
The polls will close two weeks from this post, on August 26th.

Title: Feast or Famine
Who: Aderyn, Ast (by proxy), Astera, Chosette, Dalia, Dar, Elriya, Hart (by proxy), Honour, Lorcan, Nalan, Priya, Shar, Tyren
What: He's proud, she's prejudiced, and there was so much persuasion to get them to the altar (with little sense and even less sensibility) that this log should have been set in Northanger Abbey. Invitation got lost in the mail? Not to fear. We had our cameras rolling to catch every aspect of the Coghill celebrations, from the flowers to the dancing (oh, was that awkward) to the food. At least their guests had a good time, even if the newlyweds themselves looked like they were expecting a firing squad instead of presents.

Title: Explanations...Back from the Dead?
Who: Caileana, Eirwyn, Glyn, Indra
What: Look! There in the trees! It's a bird! It's a ghost! It's...Caileana's mother (thought to be dead), returned to Ulfden. Obviously, there's a difference between mostly-dead and all-dead. This story could only be found in Shakespeare, or, of course, here on our MUCK. Not all mother-daughter reunions are sweet, but this one does provide the opportunity for Eirwyn to be wise and for Glyn to be supportive. Ulfden may never be the same. Well, at least this is bound to take Caileana's mind off of a certain Winterden wolf.

Title: A Report, and Commission
Who: Edmund and Zayev
What: There's not very much laughter at the Laughing Jackdaw when King Edmund turns a perfectly good festival into a reason to talk business with Winterden's new co-Alpha. Pay no attention to the otter wearing large sunglasses and a floppy hat in the background. In the words of Bucki, “I am not a rabid fan-otter. I've had my rabies shots.” If royals don't want to be followed by the paw-perazzi, they really ought to stay home.

Title: Sisters
Who: Rosalind and Evette
What: Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters. Nope, there is absolutely no borrowing each other's clothes or dishing about boyfriends here. Just because she's a lady doesn't mean that Rosalind is too busy to give her little sister her attention and offer some advice. If Lord Barron ever gets tired of his wife, she might want to consider a career as a high school guidance counselor. She's already helping Evette polish up her resume and set up some college interviews. That's what sisterhood is all about, am I right?

Title: Onto More Engaging Topics
Who: Tyre and Dar
What: *gets out her dictionary and reading glasses* Um...so they're definitely talking about a book. In a library. And Dar and Tyre say some other really, really important things, which I know because there are a whole lot of big words thrown around. I tripped over a few syllables and stubbed my paw, otter's honor, so I think I've got a good shot at a worker's compensation claim. Maybe I could ask one of these boys to write out the application for me, but then I'd have to read it before I sign it, and...well...I might need more than just this dictionary for that.
